• Ancient shallow rag-slate covering with an insufficient depth valley gutter to cope with high rain fall.
• Roof timbers degrading with rain water penetration into the tower.
• Church Bells at risk of damage by rain water in the tower.
• Flag may have to come down if roof gets unsafe to walk on.

Solution:  The Diocese of Truro have given permission to replace the roof with a deeper valley gutter to protect the tower for many years to come.
